What We Believe

  1. The Bible is the infallible Word of God and that all Scripture is “God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” (2 Timothy 3:16)
  2. In one eternal God who exists in three persons, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  3. “All have sinned.” (Romans 3:23) “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.” (1 John 1:8)
  4. Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. (Matthew 1:20-25)
  5. Christ Jesus was born to save sinners, even those who think they are “the worst” sinner. (Matthew 1:21; 1 Timothy 1:15)
  6. Jesus “came into the world to testify to the truth.” (John 18:37) The truth sets us free. (John 8:32)
  7. Jesus Christ is “the way, the truth, and the life.” No one comes to the Father except through Jesus. (John 14:6)
  8. Jesus Christ “died for our sins according to the Scriptures; He was buried, and He was raised on the third day.” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
  9. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)
  10. God “is patient, not wanting any to perish but everyone to come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)
  11. Those who believe in Jesus, trusting Him for forgiveness and salvation, are marked “with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of His glory. (Ephesians 1:13-14) God’s Spirit lives in all believers (1 Corinthians 3:16)
  12. “Our citizenship is in heaven. We eagerly await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, Who, by the power that enables Him to bring everything under His control, will transform our lowly bodies so they will be like His glorious body.” (Philippians 3:21) “And so shall we forever be with the Lord.” (1 Thessalonians 4:17)
  13. Believers are to strive to “live holy and godly lives as we look forward to the day of God.” (2 Peter 3:11,12)
  14. Believers should learn to be salt and light to the world. (Matthew 5:13-16)
  15. Believers should endeavor not to “conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds.” (Romans 12:2)
  16. Believers should “always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks us to give the reason for the hope that we have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” (1 Peter 3:15)
  17. All believers are called to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything Jesus commanded.” (Matthew 28:18-20)
